Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust have published a great range of activities that can be done at home to keep children connected with nature and enjoying your garden.
There’s activity sheets with ideas such as:
- how to make a butterfly table
- how to make an insect hotel
- how to make your own bird feeder
- make nettle soup
- make your own compost
Or become a nature detective by learning different types of:
- bees
- butterfly
- garden bird
- and more
Additionally, there are a range of videos with different games and activities that can be done in your garden or nearby whilst out for your hour’s exercise. These activities could count towards Artist, Explore, Global Issues, Hobbies, Naturalist, Photography, Skills Challenge and Outdoor challenges.
